MIAMI, Okla. — Miami Public Schools has replaced Pam Bevis as principal of the high school and junior high.

They have named Brandon O’Field acting principal effective immediately.

In a letter dated Aug. 28, Superintendent Jill Douthit told parents and staff that O’Field would take over temporary leadership of both schools.

The district did not explain why Bevis was removed from the role.

Miami Police Chief Stephen Sigmon has said the Miami School District Police Department handled an inquiry involving Bevis, though details of that inquiry have not been publicly released.

Allegations are circulating across social media but cannot be confirmed.

Bevis was promoted to principal in 2025 after previously serving as an assistant principal.
