The Route 66 Annual Balloon Festival is at Missouri Southern State University Friday August 28th, Saturday August 29th, and Sunday August 30th. Three days of family friendly entertainment featuring over a dozen hot air balloons, kite show, helicopter rides, tethered balloon rides, food truck and vendor’s market, live music, and more. It is presented by Visit Joplin and MSSU.

This is an annual fundraiser for YMCA Scholarship Fund hosted by Fair Acres Family YMCA on Saturday, August 29th! All funds raised will go toward providing reduced rates for those who need childcare, youth programs, or a place to spend time & reach their health goals!

Carthage Farmers Market
The ROOT 66 Carthage Farmers Market is open on Saturday!
The Carthage Farmers Market offers a wide variety of fresh in-season produce, greenhouse plants, honey, jams, jelly, and baked goods.
They are hosting it at their covered pavilion, at 122 Grant Street in Carthage. It is sort of near the Carthage Civil War museum and Pete's convenience store.
This Root 66 farmers market is going from 8 am to noon this Saturday
