"The sun turned black like sackcloth made of goat hair, the whole moon turned blood red..." — Revelation 6:12
Tonight is the night for a partial lunar eclipse.
It wll start around 11:12 tonight (Thursday) and will last until just after 2 a.m.
No gear is required. Unlike a solar eclipse, a lunar eclipse is entirely safe to view with the naked eye.
However, using binoculars or a small telescope will reveal much sharper details of the shadow's edge.
For the best view find a dark area or an area away from city light.
The moon will turn red as it slips into the Earth's shadow.
