KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — As the Kansas City Chiefs held voluntary workouts, wide receiver Rashee Rice is in the middle of serving a 30-day jail sentence in Dallas for violating probation related to a car crash.

He tested positive for THC and was booked on May 19.

Rice will miss all workouts and a mandatory minicamp starting June 9.

He recently had knee surgery and is continuing rehab while incarcerated.

Chiefs coach Andy Reid says Rice should be ready for training camp.

Rice was suspended for six games last season for violating the league’s personal conduct policy, and it is unclear whether his latest probation violation will result in any additional punishment.
