Neosho Police Department transitioning to new uniforms as of Friday

The Neosho Police Department has officially transitioned to new department uniform as of 7 a.m. Friday morning.

As part of the transition, officers have started wearing updated uniforms featuring French blue shirts paired with navy pants accented by a French blue stripe. The department has also debuted newly redesigned shoulder patches that incorporate the City’s updated branding and official city seal.

The uniform update follows the City of Neosho’s branding initiative completed in 2025 and is intended to create a more unified and recognizable appearance across City departments while maintaining a professional law enforcement presence unique to Neosho.

The new patches were fully redesigned specifically for the Neosho Police Department and were created to better reflect the identity and character of the community. The updated design incorporates elements tied directly to Neosho and aligns with the City’s current branding standards and color palette.

In addition to the updated appearance, the new uniforms provide several practical benefits for officers working in a variety of weather conditions and operational environments. The uniforms feature breathable stretch side panels designed to improve ventilation during warm weather, along with abrasion-resistant materials and UV protection.

All officers have now transitioned to the new uniforms.

Residents are encouraged to be aware that officers may look different than they have in the past; however, these are the new official uniforms of the Neosho Police Department.

“Our officers represent the City every day, and this update allows the department to maintain a professional appearance while also improving comfort and functionality for our personnel,” said Chief of Police Peter Russell. “The new uniforms and patches are modern, recognizable, and uniquely representative of Neosho.”
