The Missouri Supreme Court has denied the appeal for a Springfield man sentenced to death for kidnapping, raping, and killing 10-year-old Hailey Owens in 2014.

Missouri’s high court released its ruling Tuesday.

A judge sentenced Craig Wood to death in 2018.

Wood had claimed his counsel was ineffective.
