Joplin, MO - Cold winter months are not much fun, but we know what is—the 10th Annual Comedy for Camp & S’more event hosted by Soroptimist International of Joplin.

Set for Friday, February 20, 2026, guests will enjoy an evening of laughter as comedians Jody Fuller and Kevin Farley take the stage at the Cornell Complex in downtown Joplin.

As the opening act, Jody Fuller connects with his audiences through the many hats he wears – a father, comic, speaker, writer, and soldier with three tours of duty in Iraq. Known for his giving and achievements, he notes that he is a lifetime stutterer, which has posed unique challenges, but also taught him and others a few things along the way. Fuller was named as “one of the 15 Southern stand-up comedians that will make you laugh ’til you cry” by “It’s a Southern Thing,” and GI Jobs Magazine listed him as “One of 15 Veterans taking the comedy world by storm.”

The evening’s headliner, Kevin Farley, younger brother of comic Chris Farley, is a multifaceted entertainer. His career as an actor and comedian spans over three decades. He has more than 100 television and film appearances, including award-winning shows like Curb Your Enthusiasm and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

Most recently, he’s been touring the country headlining as a stand-up comedian and splits his time between New York and Florida with his wife and, as he calls it, a menagerie of small dogs.

Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at http://givebutter.com/comedyforcamp10. The event begins at 6:30 p.m., with guests enjoying live music and browsing the silent auction and live auction items.

Opportunities to bid on local, regional, and international experiences, including dining, art, hobbies, travel, and unique experiences, kick off the event. The evening continues with an unforgettable night of comedy with not one, but two hilarious comedians!

This unique comedy night will bring a smile to your face not only because of the great comedians featured, but also because it raises funds for the club’s most significant service project, Camp Soroptimist and S’more. Camp Soroptimist is a week-long summer camp for children aged 8–14 in the Jasper County foster system, and S’more highlights the education, training, and mentorship programs for local women and girls
