Firefighters douse hay bale fire in Vernon County

Local firefighters took quick action Monday afternoon to control a hay bale fire in Vernon County.

Firefighters from Nevada and Milo responded to the blaze on Highway BB south of Nevada.

Firefighters located 10 hay bales on fire. They used a skid loader to separate the hay and get the fire under control.

The fire was caused by operating equipment near the hay. 

No one was injured.
