A small airplane crash lands on U.S. 65 outside of Springfield

A small airplane reportedly crash-landed on U.S. 65 just outside of Springfield Saturday.

The plane reportedly had taken off from Memphis, Tenn. and was headed toward its destination in Olathe, Kansas.

Early reports cited witnesses seeing survivors leave the plane.

Flames were reportedly extinguished by first responders.

No one is reported to have been injured in the landing and no motorists were reported injured on the highway.
