City of Neosho Issues Boil Advisory After Unexpected Drop in Water Levels and Pressure

Neosho, MO — December 16, 2025 – The City of Neosho has issued a precautionary boil advisory for customers in the affected service areas following an unexpected drop in water levels and pressure within part of the water system.
The impacted areas are Ravenhurst Subdivision including Rosewood Drive and Daugherty Road, east of Sally Ann Ave. to include Cedar Ridge Drive, Southern Drive, Bambi Drive, Fawn Drive and Cemetery Road on the north side of Highway 60.
As a result, many residents in these areas may have experienced low to no water pressure.
As a precautionary measure, a boil advisory has been issued for these affected areas.
While contamination is highly unlikely, this advisory has been put in place to safeguard residents.
The advisory applies solely to water intended for consumption; boiling is recommended before use.
This advisory is not a mandate but a precautionary step.
The Public Works Department is actively working to ensure the water supply’s safety and integrity.
Water sampling tests are being conducted, and results are anticipated within the next 24 hours.
An official announcement lifting the advisory will be made as soon as testing confirms the water’s safety.
