CPKC Holiday Train to roll into Pittsburg, Joplin Saturday November 29

Canadian Pacific Kansas City Railroad (CPKC) has announced the schedule for the 2025 Holiday Train and it’s making two local stops.
The Holiday Train will arrive in Pittsburg, Kansas, at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 29. It will be along North Michigan Avenue between East 7th Street and East 10 Street.
The Holiday Train will arrive in Joplin, Missouri, at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 29. It will be at the Union Depot at 205 North Main Street.
The CPKC HOLIDAY TRAIN combines an engine and train cars decorated for the season. One of the center box cars converts into a stage for a live 30-minute holiday music performance.
Though CPKC promotes several entertainers supporting the year’s program, Smash Mouth and J.J. Wilde will perform for the Joplin stop.
The 2025 CPKC Holiday Train will tour Canada and the United States from November 19 through December 21, raising money, food, and awareness to support food banks across the communities it transits. Professional musicians play a free concert from a seasonally decorated train’s stage. CPKC donates to the local food bank at each stop and encourages attendees to donate monetary or heart-healthy food.
The city of Joplin reminds you that parking is limited in the Union Depot area. The rough natural terrain can be challenging for people needing assistance. Patrons are asked to access the Union Depot grounds from “B” and N. Main Street.
