Joplin Area Habitat for Humanity Welcomes Three New Homeowners

Joplin Area Habitat for Humanity will celebrate three new homeowners on Wednesday, November 26, with a series of home blessings at three newly completed homes.
The afternoon will begin at 1:00 PM at 1610 S. Wall Ave., where Chris and his son will be welcomed into their new home. The celebration will then move to 512 S. Jackson Ave. to congratulate the Vernon family, followed by a final blessing at 1404 W. 4th Street for Jennifer and her daughter.
“Our hearts are full this Thanksgiving season as three families receive the keys to homes they helped make it happen,” said Scott Clayton, Executive Director. “Each of these families has invested their time, energy, and determination to bring their dream to life. We are deeply grateful to our partners, volunteers, builders and new homeowners for advancing our mission to bring people together to build homes, communities, and hope.”
Seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope. Since its founding in 1989, Joplin Area Habitat for Humanity has built 195
homes and completed more than 500 home repairs for local families. The organization currently has four additional homes under construction and will soon break ground on its 200th home in Carthage.
