MOmentum Bike Park opens to public

The MOmentum Bike Park is now open in Joplin.  

Mayor Keenan Cortez believes this will provide a financial boost for the city:

“We have already heard from people from Colorado, Colorado, all over the nation that have desired to come here and experience our bike park. I have already seen efforts underway to attract races here to our community. The economic impact is going to be huge.” 

Mayor Cortez went on to say:  “The Missouri Department of Economic Development has already been involved in this from day one. They see the benefit of this being in our community. There are going to be people coming here that are going to eat in our restaurants, buy gas at our gas stations, stay in our hotels, and just shoot us in the arm with an economic impact that we haven’t seen yet before.”

There is no charge to use this bike park.
