Man from Joplin wins $100,000 on Missouri Lottery Scratchers ticket

A man from Joplin is $100,000 richer after winning big with a Missouri Lottery Scratchers ticket.

The man bought the $5 50-X ticket at the Casey’s at 4800 S. Rangeline road.

He says he’s going to spend the money on a vacation, holiday expenses and paying off debt.

In fiscal year 2025, Newton County players won more than $6 million in Missouri Lottery prizes.

Local retailers earned over $595,000 in commissions and bonuses, and more than $10 million in Lottery funds has supported education programs in the county.
