Lawrence County accident injures man from Webb City

A traffic accident on Highway T, 5 miles north of Marionville has resulted in injuries for a 25-year-old man from Webb City.

It happened just about 4:40 p.m. on Tuesday.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says it happened when the northbound 2007 Peterbilt truck the man was driving traveled off the roadway to avoid an oncoming vehicle and struck a utility pole.

The man suffered serious injuries. He was transported by air to a hospital in Joplin.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol does not release the names of accident victims.
