First Degree Trespassing charges filed in Jasper County
On October 25, 2025, Jasper County Deputies responded to a report of trespassing in the area of Civil War Road and Java Street, north of Carthage, Missouri.
Deputies were provided with a photograph from a game camera showing a male subject walking through a wooded area while carrying a pistol.
The individual was later identified as 37-year-old Justin Wayne Thomas.
Thomas was located by the Carthage Police Department and subsequently interviewed by Jasper County detectives.
Thomas admitted that he was aware he was not permitted to be on that property.
