Congressman Burlison keeping buys during government shutdown

Some are calling for the ending of daylight saving time for good.
Southwest Missouri Congressman Eric Burlison told Newstalk KZRG, he would vote to get rid of it if the issue was brought up for a vote.
“That issue is not one of my top priorities. So it is an issue that I have a position, I know where I’m going to vote. But I really focus on where can I focus my energy and my expertise? It’s things like insurance policies, health care reform initiatives, anything related to deregulations, those kinds of things.”
Even though the government shutdown goes on, southwest Missouri Congressman Eric Burlison has kept busy.
“I’m spending every day back in the district going to meeting after meeting after meeting. And believe me, the meetings pile up. It’s fascinating how quickly your schedule fills up when it’s available. I go to all the central committee meetings I can. I go to the kind of civic group meetings, whether it’s a Rotary Club or the Sertoma Clubs.”
Burlison went on to say: “And it’s kind of been really refreshing and good for me to get reacquainted and connected with groups that I have not been able to attend their meetings for the past three years that I’ve been in Congress. And I’m hearing from the constituents every day.”
