Mt. Vernon woman charged with sexual trafficking and endangering the welfare of a child

A woman from that Mt. Vernon, Missouri is charged with taking several teenage children from the Missouri Baptist Children’s home to her residence where her son sexually assaulted them.

The crimes took place in the spring, summer and fall of 2023.

The son was reportedly out on bail on a statutory rape charge and was still wearing an ankle monitor when the alleged sexual assaults took place.

52-year old Lawanna Lee Wilson is charged in Lawrence County with two counts of sexual trafficking of a child and five counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

She is being held without bond in the Lawrence County Jail.
