A local Halloween Calendar of events for the family

OCT 24
- The Joplin Parks and Rec is hosting a free “Hay Bale Trail” event on Friday, October 24, at McClelland Park from 6:00 PM. The event features decorated hay bales, family hay rides, bounce houses, games, a DJ, and food/drinks. For more information, call 417-625-4750.
- The “Trunk or Treat” event is scheduled for October 24th from 5-7 PM at Madison Square Shopping Center, 1715 S. Madison, Webb City, MO, hosted by The Barbershop.
OCT 25
- The Joplin Humane Society is hosting a “Howl-n-Scream Trunk or Treat” event on October 25 from 2-4 PM, sponsored by Blue Buffalo and General Mills.
- The annual “Trunk or Treat” event by Redemption Motorsports will take place on October 25 from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM at 200 N East St, Webb City, MO.
- Christ’s Community 4:12 Ministry is hosting a Harvest Party on October 25 from 6:30-8 PM at 2700 E 44th St, Joplin. The event includes a trick or treat trail, games, candy, prizes, cake walk, food trucks, and a concession stand.
- The Halloween Harvest event at the Pittsburg Farmers’ Market, 119 E. 11th St, Pittsburg, KS, is on October 25 from 8 AM to 12 PM. It features activities for kids, a costume parade, crafts, live music, and more.
- Heritage Tractor at 404 South Prosperity Avenue, Joplin, MO 64801, is hosting a “Halloween Howl” event on Saturday, October 25, from 8 AM to Noon. The event includes a “Trick-or-Tractor” activity with sweet treats and a free John Deere toy (while supplies last), plus a costume contest where kids can win prizes by posting photos on Facebook tagging @HeritageTractor.
- The Halloween Harvest event at the Pittsburg Farmers’ Market, 119 E. 11th St, Pittsburg, KS, is on October 25 from 8 AM to 12 PM. It includes activities for kids, a costume parade, crafts, live music, and more.
- The “Trick or Treat The Rink” event by Roller City Entertainment is scheduled for October 25 at 10 AM, for ages 12 and younger. Held on both the 12th and 25th, it features skating and laser tag for $9.99, special guest appearances from Bluey & Mickey, family fun activities, and lots of candy. - The 3rd Annual First Responder Halloween Bash, a safe and spooktacular event for all ages, will be held on October 25, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Neosho Jr. High School, 14646 Kodiak Rd. The event features music, activities, candy, and vendors, and is supported by various first responder organizations including Newton County Sheriff, Neosho Police, and Project Kids.
OCT 26
- The Great Candy Crawl at Saint Paul’s United Methodist Church is scheduled for Sunday, October 26, from 4 PM to 6 PM. The event features a photo booth, music, and an indoor trick-or-treat activity.
- The “Trunk or Treat” event, hosted by Forest Park Church, will occur on Sunday, October 26, from 3-5 PM at the Joplin Campus, and on Friday, October 31, from 5-7 PM at the Carthage Campus.
- The “Trunk or Treat” event, hosted by First Baptist Joplin, is scheduled for October 26 from 3-5 PM. It is a safe, family-friendly event.
- The “Halloween in the City” event is scheduled for Sunday, October 26, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Activities include wearing costumes, Halloween activities, gift certificate giveaways, a trick or treat event, unlimited play at Kids City Museum, and face painting (extra charge). - Uncommon Life Church is hosting a “Trunk or Treat” event on October 26, 2025, from 4 PM to 6 PM at 5988 North Main Street, Joplin, MO. The event offers fun, treats, and a focus on Jesus.
OCT 27
- The Teen Halloween Party at Girard Public Library is scheduled for October 27 from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM. The event will feature games, crafts, and more.
OCT 29
- The Carl Junction Trunk or Treat, a free family-friendly trick-or-treating event for all ages, is scheduled for Wednesday, October 29, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, hosted by the Carl Junction Chamber of Commerce. Sponsored by Donnan’s and 360 Auto Service.
- The “Trunk or Treat” event, hosted by Crowder College Surgical Technology Program Students and Children’s Haven, is scheduled for Wednesday, October 29, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at 711 S Picher Ave, Joplin, MO, in the Children’s Haven parking lot (moving inside if it rains). OCT 30
- The Midwest Regional Ballet presents “This is Halloween” at the Memorial Auditorium, 503 North Pine St, Pittsburg, Kansas 66762. Show dates are October 30 and 31 at 7:00 PM, and November 1 at 2:00 PM. Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for balcony and general admission floor seating, and free for children under 5 with reserved seating (taxes and fees apply). Tickets can be purchased online at memorialauditorium.org or by calling 620.231.7827. Free treats are available for children who come in costume.
- The “Trunk or Treat” event at Rivers Bend Family Resort (4041 HWY NN, Joplin, MO 64804) is a family-friendly night of fun on October 29, 2025, lasting 1 hour 30 minutes. More details will be added closer to the date; the restaurant will be open until 9 PM for dinner and drinks. - The Carthage High School Student Council’s 6th Annual Trunk or Treat event is scheduled for October 30, 2025.
- The Independent Living Center is hosting a spooktacular Trunk or Treat event on October 30, 2025, at 2639 E 34th St, Joplin, MO 64804. HALLOWEEN
- Mt Hope Church of Christ is hosting a Halloween Trick or Treat event on October 31, 2025, from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at 2830 Mt Hope Rd, Webb City, MO 64870. The event will feature candy, hot dogs, hot chocolate, a bounce house, games, and more.
- The Halloween Bash at Skateland of Webb City is scheduled for Friday, October 31, 2025, from 7 PM to 12 AM. Admission is $16, including a free festive drink. The event features a 9 PM costume contest, skating, dancing, games, and a prize wheel. For more information, text (417) 7439-0063.
- The Kids Ministry at Immanuel Joplin is hosting a Trunk or Treat event on Friday, October 31, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. More details are available at immanueljoplin.com/trunkortreat.
- The event, hosted by Donna Ashford Hayes and Quad State Jeeps, will take place in the south parking lot of Office Depot at 3132 S Range Line Rd, Joplin, MO 64804. It’s a public event welcoming everyone, including Bronco owners, and is expected to have a great turnout. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early, set up, and share the event post.
- The annual Halloween parade, sponsored by Community Bank & Trust and local businesses, will take place on Main Street, Galena, KS. Organized by Chasity Reynolds and Lexie Beck, the event starts with a lineup at 4:15 PM at Pappy Litch Park, with the parade beginning at 4:30 PM and lasting 30 minutes. - The “Treats on the Square” event, organized by Vision Carthage, will occur on Friday, October 31, from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM at Carthage Downtown Square. This 1.5-hour public event invites attendees to dress in creative costumes for trick-or-treating, with downtown businesses handing out goodies. Butterball will serve hot dogs and provide over 1,000 pumpkins for painting, assisted by ArtCentral volunteers in a fall tunnel. Use #TreatsOnTheSquareCarthage to share moments on social media.
- The event, hosted by Pittsburg Care & Rehabilitation Center, is a Halloween treat-giving gathering on October 31 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at 1005 E Centennial Dr, Pittsburg, KS 66762. It’s a public 3-hour event where residents enjoy handing out candy and viewing costumes—open to all!
- The event, hosted by 24 – Twentyfour/ Elite 24Hr Gym and Danielle Drake, is a Halloween family event on October 31 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at 530 S Northpark Ln, Joplin, MO 64801. Open to the public (no membership required), it features games, candy, face painting, and cotton candy, with families encouraged to dress up.
- The event, hosted by Webb City Area Chamber of Commerce, is a Halloween treat event on October 31 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM along Main Street, West Broadway, and Webb Street, Webb City, MO 64870, with a base at 112 W Broadway St. Open to the public, it features decorated businesses handing out candy, with the Fire Department and Police Department present at the Chamber Office.
- The annual Halloween parade, hosted by Chasity Reynolds and Lexie Beck, takes place today, October 23, 2025, from 4:15 PM to 4:45 PM on Main Street, Galena, KS 66739, starting with a lineup at Pappy Litch Park at 4:15 PM and parading at 4:30 PM. Sponsored by Community Bank & Trust and local businesses, it’s a public 30-minute event. A trunk-or-treat follows at 5:00 PM at City Hall.
