Rain and storms possible Saturday during the Carthage Maple Leaf Festival

The Maple Leaf Festival activities on Saturday could get rained on.  

KZRG meteorologist Terri Smith told the KZRG Morning Newswatch Friday that the way the approaching cold front is slowing down, it increases the chance of rain during the day on Saturday.  

Some of the storms could be strong to severe Saturday, with the biggest threat area being south and east of the Joplin – Carthage area.   

Newstalk KZRG will keep an eye on the rain and storm chances.  

If severe weather breaks out, we will break in!
