Joplin Area Habitat for Humanity receives $10,000 grant from Wells Fargo; workday on Wednesday

Joplin Area Habitat for Humanity, a nonprofit organization that collaborates with the community to improve housing affordability, has received a $10,000 grant from Wells Fargo.

This grant will be used in the Habitat house construction program where low income families who qualify work to build their home and in the end the home is sold at no profit and at a 0% interest rate.

Wells Fargo volunteers will be helping build a landscaping wall and finishing siding at 1404 W. 4th Street in Joplin for future homeowner, Jennifer Demmings on Wednesday.

Seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope.

Joplin Area Habitat for Humanity is a not-for-profit, nondenominational Christian housing organization that covers the Jasper County area.

They have built 191 homes in total with eight homes under construction with plans to begin two more this year.
