Hit and run accident in Greene County Sunday evening

A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in Greene County last night just after 7:30.

It happened on Missouri-O about 6 miles north of Springfield.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the victim, a 49-year-old male had moderate injuries.

He was transported by EMS to Mercy Springfield.

There is no description of the vehicle driver or the vehicle itself which went east after the accident.
