IAM District 837 Responds to Boeing’s letter Sent to IAM Union members on strike

ST. LOUIS, Oct. 9, 2025 — IAM Union (International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers) District 837 released the following statement:

“IAM Union District 837 members have stood strong and rejected the company’s offer three times. The company talks about “One Boeing,” but actions speak louder than words. Dropping the bonus from $5K to $4K is just more game-playing.

Our members approved a fair, pre-ratified offer to end the strike, but the company chose to ignore the voices of its workers.

We build the warfighters. We protect America. Without our skills and dedication, Boeing doesn’t move forward.

This fight is about more than a paycheck — it’s about respect, our future, and retiring with dignity after decades of service. Stay strong. Stay united.”

The IAM Union (International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers) represents approximately 600,000 active and retired members in aerospace, defense, airlines, shipbuilding, rail, transit, healthcare, automotive, and other industries across North America.
