South leg of 44th and Connecticut roundabout to temporarily close

Starting Monday, October 6, the City of Joplin will begin modifications to the 44th Street and Connecticut Avenue roundabout.

The island on the south side is being modified to better accommodate large vehicles and will require a full closure of the south leg of this roundabout.

Traffic can still travel east and west, and use the north leg to and from Connecticut Avenue.

This project will take approximately two weeks to complete, weather permitting.
