Frontenac man arrested after ‘high-risk’ search warrant

Frontenac, KS – On October 2, 2025, the Frontenac Police Department, with the assistance of the Kansas Highway Patrol and the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, executed a high-risk search warrant at 606 Valarie in Frontenac, Kansas.

The search warrant was obtained as part of an ongoing investigation into multiple felony offenses, including:

• Rape – Sexual intercourse without consent and use of force
• Kidnapping – Inflict bodily harm or terrorize the victim
• Criminal Sodomy
• Sexual Exploitation of a Child

During the search, additional evidence was located which resulted in further alleged offenses, including:

• Possession of a firearm while addicted to an unlawful controlled substance
• Possession of marijuana
• Possession of drug paraphernalia

As a result, Nathan Derry, 40, of Frontenac, Kansas, was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Crawford County Jail. The case will be forwarded to the Crawford County Attorney’s Office for review of formal charges.
