James River Joplin Campus downtown Saturday event

Big things going on in downtown Joplin Saturday.

James River Church, Joplin campus pastor Justin Jahanshir tells KZRG:

“We’re doing something in downtown Joplin called Hope in the City. And it’s a community wide event where we’re going to be having kind of like a block party. We’re going to have free hot dogs and ice cream for everybody. We’re going to have giveaways, have a kids show. We have cotton candy, face painting, balloons, all kinds of things happening just to bring the community together for a time of fun. And as well, we’ll be doing a grocery giveaway and essential items for those in need.”

The event is free starting at 11:30 AM on Main Street between 4th and 7th Streets.

Main Street will be closed from 4th to 7th Street from 7 AM to 4 PM.
