Southwest Missouri woman killed in McDonald County accident

A southwest Missouri woman died following traffic accident in McDonald County this morning.

It happened at 9:55 a.m. on Missouri-76, about 5 miles east of Anderson.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says it happened when a 62-year-old woman from Walosa, Missouri in Ozark County traveled off the roadway in a Ford F-150 pickup and struck a tree.

She was pronounced dead a little over two hours later at a Joplin hospital.
