Two injured by watercraft on Pomme de Terre Lake

The Missouri Highway Patrol is investigating an incident that injured two swimmers on Pomme de Terre Lake in the west-central Ozarks.

The incident happened around 7 p.m. on Saturday.

The Patrol says two swimmers noticed an operator of a personal watercraft circling their dog in the water.

They say that this led to a verbal argument. Investigators say the operator of the watercraft hit the two swimmers, then left.

One swimmer suffered serious injuries. The other suffered minor injuries.

The investigation continues.
