Farmers Feeding Neighbors Hay Auction today benefits Seneca Food Pantry

What: 19th Annual Farmers Feeding Neighbors Hay Auction with 100% of proceeds benefiting the Seneca Food Pantry.

Where: Eastern Shawnee Rodeo Grounds, Hwy. 10 & Bethel Road in Seneca.

The 19th Annual Farmers Feeding Neighbors Hay Auction is being held today, Saturday, September 6th.

Merchandise to be auctioned in addition to hay will be certificates or merchandise from area businesses and individuals, Branson show tickets, homemade treats of every kind from pies and cakes to cookies, brownies and home-canned delicacies of jellies, preserves, salsa, floral arrangements, and other miscellaneous items.

The auction will be held under the giant tent, rain or shine.

The barbecue that begins at 4 p.m. is open to everyone for a donation.

It will feature hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and all the trimmings along with a drink and cookies for dessert.

The winner of the raffle for the beautiful handmade king-size Christmas quilt donated by the Seneca Stitch and Spice Club will be drawn and contacted if the winner is not present. Raffle tickets will be sold up until drawing time.

The auction will begin at 6:00 p.m. and will continues until everything has been sold.

Everyone is invited to support the less fortunate in our community at this annual event.
