Road construction near Carl Junction on YY highway starting week of September 8th

Road construction is starting the week of September 8th on highway YY near Carl Junction.  

The sealing process will be taking place from the state line to the roundabout on highway 171. 

MoDot engineer, Jason Evenden tells Newstalk KZRG:

“There could be delays depending on traffic load and times of the day. This is typically daytime work, and with the temperatures and weather kind of shifting in southwest Missouri right now, we’ll probably have to do this style of work during the daytime.”

Weather permitting, construction should be done by the middle of October.
