Woman charged with making a terrorist threat in Lawrence County
A woman from is being held at the Barry County Jail in connection with making an alleged terrorist threat in Lawrence County.
Lawrence County Deputy Sheriff Thomas Taylor said in a probable cause statement that on August 17, 36-year-old Ashley Dawn Shockley of Cassville called him while she was being held at the jail and threatened to “burn the jail to the ground” and then find the deputy outside the jail and “take care of him.”
Court papers show Shockley is charged with making a 2nd degree terrorist threat, a Class E felony.
The crime is punishable by no less than one year and no more than 4 years in the Department of Corrections and/or up to a $10,000 fine.
