Fatal UTV accident takes life of teen in McDonald County

There was another UTV accident – this time a fatal one –just off Route W, 3 miles east of Anderson in McDonald County late Monday morning.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred when a 2022 Tracker UTV being operated on private property overturned while making a turn.

The driver, 16-year-old boy from Bentonville, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident around 12:15 p.m. by McDonald County Coroner John Fletcher.

It was the 88th fatality for SW Missouri Highway Patrol Troop D so far in 2025.
