Missouri American Water to present $10,000 to JHS Science Research Program

Missouri American Water will hold a check presentation ceremony, recognizing Joplin High School’s Science Research Program as an American Water Charitable Foundation 2025 STEM Education grantee.
Missouri American Water and Joplin High School Representatives will gather at Joplin High School at 2104 South Indiana Avenue at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, August 29.
The American Water Charitable Foundation, a philanthropic non- profit organization established by American Water (NYSE: AWK), focuses on three pillars of giving: Water, People, and Communities.
Since 2012, the Foundation has invested more than $20 million in funding through grants and matching gifts to support eligible organizations in communities served by American Water. The Foundation is funded by American Water shareholders and has no impact on customer rates.

The STEM Education grant is part of the American Water Charitable Foundation’s Keep Communities Flowing Grant Program, focusing on three pillars of giving: Water, People and Communities.
Funds will be used to purchase equipment needed for students to complete their research projects in preparation for local and state competitions.
