NALA – Literacy Liftoff canceled due to weather
The Thursday night portion of the inaugural Route 66 Balloon and Kite Festival has been canceled due to impending weather.
The activities planned around the NALA Literacy Liftoff on Thursday night have been canceled, and there is no rescheduled date at this time.
All other Festival events will continue as scheduled on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Should the weather break before sunset tonight, the hot air balloons will try to have a Thursday night launch.
All the launches, balloon glows, helicopter and tethered balloon rides, paramotor flyovers, and food and craft vendors will be held at Route 66 Fairgrounds at 13th Street and Black Cat Road.
Attendees are asked to enter the Fairgrounds off 13th Street by way of Schifferdecker Avenue.
