Investigation continues into Clay County plane crash

The investigation into a fatal plane crash Wednesday afternoon in Clay County, Missouri continues.

Deputies say a Cessna C-340 fully engulfed in flames crashed in a soybean field near Midwest National Air Center northeast of Liberty, Missouri.

Two people on board and were killed.

They have been identified as Mark and Vickie Spelts of Spelts Wealth Management of California.

The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board will be taking over the investigation into the crash.
