Opioid abatement efforts continue in Oklahoma
Efforts toward opioid abatement continue in the state of Oklahoma.
A grant to do that is sending just over $2 million into the northeastern corner of the state.
That follows over $16 million being sent to communities and 16 school districts statewide to address the opioid crisis.
Delaware County is getting almost a quarter million dollars, Mayes County $450,000 and the City of Miami $180,000 as a part of ongoing efforts.
Those funds support treatment programs, opioid abuse education, health assistance and other efforts to reduce the availability of narcotics in Oklahoma.
