Hit and run accident in Lawrence County leaves cyclist seriously injured

A hit and run accident in Lawrence County has left an area cyclist in serious condition.

It happened around 6:17 Tuesday night.

A motorcycle rider from Aurora was injured in the accident at Lawrence 2210 and Business 60 in Aurora.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says an Chevy Truck ran the cyclist’s 2000 Yamaha V-Star cycle off the road and then left the scene of the accident.

The 65-year-old male cyclist was seriously injured.

He was taken to Cox South Hospital in Springfield via ambulance.
