Death in Webb City fire

On 8-13-2025 at approximately 5:01 AM, Jasper County Deputies were dispatched to a structure fire at 4411 N. Center Lane, a mobile home park in Webb City, Mo.

One male was taken to a local hospital but was pronounced deceased a short time later.

The remaining occupants made it out of the home and were not injured.

The male was identified as George McDonald, 60, of Webb City.

Next of kin have been notified.

An autopsy has been scheduled for later this week.

The Missouri State Fire Marshall’s Office and Jasper County Sheriff’s Detectives are working the fire scene and there is nothing suspicious about the fire at this time.

The investigation is ongoing and more information may be released at a later date.
