Born in Memphis, Tenn., Jane Hillhouse lived in Joplin in her early years and graduated from Joplin High School.

She was a queen candidate at Joplin Junior College in 1958.

Jane Hillhouse married William Pitt in Joplin in 1960.

Jane Hillhouse Pitt was 85 years old.
