Newton County Republican free Watermelon Feed Thursday August 7th

The Republican Women of Newton County along with the Newton County Republican Central Committee present the annual free watermelon Feed.
It will be held at the Big Spring Park in downtown Neosho August 7th starting at 6:30 PM.
Nick Myers told Newstalk KZRG:
“I expect Congressman Burleson will be there, also our state senator Jill Carter and our state Rep, Dirk Deaton. And so it’ll be a good time. We got free watermelon, free water.”
If Governor Kehoe calls a special election to replace former state representative Ben Baker before the feed, there will be 3-minute speeches by the announced Republican candidates for state representative for the 160th district.
The feed is open to all Republicans.
A straw quiz will be available and will serve as an entry into a drawing for prizes.
Bring your lawn chairs for seating.
In case of rain, the event will be held at the Lampo Building at 500 East Spring Street in Neosho.
