Pedestrian seriously injured while trying to cross road

A 59-year-old woman from Lockwood was listed in serious condition after being struck by a car on a road in Barton County around 8:50 a.m. Wednesday.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the woman was hit by an eastbound 2021 Buick Enclave when she was trying to cross MO-126 in Golden City.

The car was driven by a 42-year-old woman from Golden City.

The pedestrian, who was seriously injured, was airlifted to a Joplin hospital.
