Missouri State Fair Kicks off next week in Sedalia

Tens of thousands of Missourians will make the trip to Sedalia for the Missouri State Fair.
Director Jason Moore says when it comes to food—.
“Well, you certainly can’t have a State Fair without a corn dog, but I’ve heard rumblings of pizza, waffle burgers, and I’ve heard some fried green tomato burrito, deep fried deviled eggs, all sorts of fun things fried, and we’re not always the healthiest food, but it’s 11 days, so let your diet go a little bit.”
This year’s theme is Step On In.
Missouri Department of Agriculture Director Chris Chinn says if you are “stepping on in” for the first time check out the 4H building and the FFA building.
Chinn told Newstalk KZRG: “So for me it’s all about seeing what our youth and agriculture have done. The concerts are great. There are draft horse shows, and the tractor pulls. There’s a little bit of something for everybody at the Missouri State Fair.”
