Redrawing Missouri congressional district maps special session?

Redrawing Missouri congressional district maps is a hot issue.

State senator Jill Carter told Newstalk KZRG:

“I think with early conversations with the White House and with the governor, you know, we are looking at a special session.  You look at other really big red states, Florida, Texas being two examples, and Missouri, we have a trifecta of power and yet we seem to be lagging behind these other states.”

Carter went on to say:  “So to be able to have a governor who’s in a position to call special sessions to try to get some of these big red ticket items done, I celebrate leadership.”

This would be done to help shore up what’s happening at the federal level.
