W Club Recreation Center Opens with Fanfare in Webb City

WEBB CITY, MO — The W Club, a state-of-the-art 17,000-square-foot recreation and community center, officially opens its doors today in King Jack Park, marking a new era for Webb City’s Parks and Recreation Department.
The $1.5 million facility, funded by the Dawson Heritage Foundation in honor of a longtime local businessman, is celebrated with a grand opening ceremony today at 4:30 by community members and city officials.
The W Club promises to transform local recreation with its versatile design, featuring a full-size basketball court that can be divided for multiple activities, including basketball and volleyball leagues, pickleball, and private events.
The center will also host community programs like pumpkin carving, daddy-daughter dances, and morning exercise sessions, catering to residents of all ages.
The city recently hired Kong Lee as the recreation facilities coordinator to oversee operations and plan a gradual rollout of programs to ensure a smooth launch while managing costs.
