Group gathered at Burlison’s office for protest, school supply drive

JOPLIN, Mo. – Indivisible Joplin and local residents gathered Saturday at Rep. Eric Burlison’s office to deliver a message regarding families, while also collecting school supplies for local school districts. Their aim, to highlight the urgent need for policies that prioritize the well-being of families.

“Our families come first, and we refuse to be sacrificed for billionaires,” said Jenna Ehrhardt, a representative of Indivisible Joplin. “We demand an end to the harmful policies passed in the reconciliation bill that will neglect our children, seniors, and communities.”

The local event was organized as part of the nationwide Families First Campaign. Find more information on the national campaign at www.familiesfirstnow.org.
