Two Fatal Weekend Car Crashes

A 21 year old man from Pierce City and a 57 year old man from Marshfield died in separate car crashes over the weekend

The 21 year old man was on MO 97, 3 miles west of Purdy early Sunday morning when the crash occurred. The Missouri State Highway Patrol noted the 2000 Ford F250 travelled off the right side of the roadway, returned to the roadway and overturned.

The 21 year old driver was pronounced dead at the scene of his accident at 3:05 a.m. He was not wearing a seatbelt.

The 57 year old man from Marshfield’s crash occurred on Highway OO, 5 miles west of Marshfield, MO. Saturday afternoon around 3:45.

MSHP noted the driver of the 1998 Pontiac Firebird travelled off the right side of the roadway, returned to the roadway, travelled off the right side of the roadway again and overturned.

The man man was pronounced dead at the scene of his accident at 4:04 p.m. He also was not wearing a seat belt.

Next of kin have been notified in both cases.
