Drug Bust Chetopa Kansas

On July 20, 2025, deputies from the Labette County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop for speeding in Chetopa, Kansas.

During the stop, the K-9 handler performed an open-air sniff around the vehicle, and the K-9 alerted to the presence of illegal drugs.

Upon searching the vehicle, deputies discovered 5 pounds of methamphetamine in the trunk.

A 62-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman were arrested in connection with the incident.

The 62-year-old man is facing charges for distribution of opiates, criminal use of a weapon, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The woman is being held on outstanding warrants from Labette County and Montgomery County.
