Missouri Task Force 1 deploys to Texas to help flood victims

Missouri’s top search and rescue team has been deployed to Texas, where flooding has killed more than one-hundred people. 

Missouri Task Force One will join a list of states with highly-trained disaster response teams that have been called to central Texas. 

Historic flooding there on July 4 has led to more than 850 people being rescued so far.

The mission of Missouri’s 50-member specialized team will be water rescue and recovery operations.

The task force deployment is expected to last up to 14 days.
