Public invited to Military Flag Retreat Ceremony at Missouri State Fair

Members of the public are invited to the Military Flag Retreat Ceremony, held daily during the 2025 Missouri State Fair, Aug 7–17. This event is a heartfelt tribute to the brave individuals who have served—and continue to serve—our country.
Proudly sponsored by Capital Materials, Retrieving Freedom, Inc., Starline Brass and GFL Environmental, the Military Flag Retreat honors Missouri veterans and active-duty service members with a formal flag-lowering ceremony held in front of the Historic Administration Building on the Fairgrounds.
This year, 11 honorees were selected from nominations received across the state to be recognized in this meaningful tradition. We encourage you to Step On In and help us celebrate their service and sacrifice.
