Lt. Governor David Wasinger to Chair Missouri State Employees Charitable Campaign

JEFFERSON CITY, MO – Lieutenant Governor David Wasinger will serve as Chairman of the 2026 Missouri State Employees Charitable Campaign (MSECC), an annual fundraising effort that encourages state employees and retirees to support eligible charitable organizations across Missouri.

Launched in 1985, the MSECC has raised more than $36 million for Missouri nonprofits, with donations supporting services in areas such as education, healthcare, veterans’ assistance and community development. This year’s campaign theme, “Building Brighter Futures,” emphasizes the lasting impact of giving back to communities served by state employees.

“It’s an honor to chair this year’s campaign,” said Wasinger. “The generosity of our state employees is both a testament to and extension of their public service. It illuminates the deep commitment these folks have to the people of our state.”

As Chair, Lt. Governor Wasinger will promote the campaign at the executive level, engage agency leadership, and encourage broad participation across all departments of state government.

“State employees are the backbone of our mission to serve Missouri, and their giving has made a difference in the lives of thousands of Missourians,” said Wasinger. “This campaign is more than a fundraiser, it’s a tangible commitment to building stronger communities and building a brighter future for our state.”

The 2026 campaign will officially kick off later this summer. All Missouri state employees and retirees will be invited to participate through payroll deduction, one-time contributions, or direct donations to approved charities.
